Director: Sacha Gervasi

This is probably the greatest film about rock and roll in history. A perfect documentary, it moves along at a perfect pace, develops characters you love even though you don't understand their lack of taste in lyric writing. You may not like this kind of music, well, you probably won't, but you'll love their story, and you'll be rooting for them by the end, which has the potential either to lift your spirit or break you into tears. A great film, with many understandable comparisons to "This Is Spinal Tap", but all the more engaging because its a real band, and you get to see what happens when the fame train leaves a band behind, although their dedication has remained constant.
This is the document for future generations of the journey of all the rock bands that don't make it to permanent super-stardom. Though maybe it stands out more because as Slash says at the end, they are one of maybe three bands of all time that have managed to stay together for so many years.
Great film, must see!
